Specifically in the television field, VIDEOCOM BRASIL has great experience in events producing and broadcasting, teleconferencing and news broadcasting, as well as in interactive videoconferencing. Next are listed resumed descriptions of those activities.

TELECONFERENCING
Teleconferencing allow organizations to reunite its staff in different locations watching the same program. The television programs are characterized by the same professional quality and technical standards of commercial television stations. Generally, teleconferencing is broadcasted from a single point to multiple points, although some events could require a transmission from two or more different points. The interaction between the audience and the transmission location is achieved through the telephone, fax or the Internet, since those facilities do not have audio and video equipment for transmission. The reception points can be permanent or temporaries.

The main uses for teleconferences are corporate communication, product launching, remote personal training, convention and seminar broadcasting, press conferences, business meetings etc. Besides efficiency in contents transmission, teleconferencing brings economy of resources, avoiding unnecessary trips and optimizing time.

Note: There is a medium, VIDEOCONFERENCING, similar to TELECONFERENCING. Videoconferencing allows the communication between two places with full video and audio interactivity, but with low resolution video, because the signals are transmitted by physical ISDN lines with low capacity for good data transference. VIDEOCOM BRASIL, today, is not oferring this service, but can indicate partners in all Brazilian cities.

VIDEO AND AUDIO STREAMINGS
VIDEOCOM BRASIL created a new product that complements the teleconferencing. It is a technology of very low cost that allows the distribution of audio and video streaming through intranets. The audio and video transmission to the intranets are made by satellite, aiming do not congest the backbones with the traffic between intranets. The conversion of the television signals to streaming is made using a server installed in the Intranet. The live or recorded video programs can be received in real time and, simultaneously, can be stored for posterior use under demand. With this integration of television, telecommunications and technology of the information, the television signs can be received at the same time in an auditorium and in the diverse intranet computers.

PLAY-OUTS
VIDEOCOM BRASIL provides, to foreign network news correspondents and events companies, video and audio transmissions by STAR-ONE (Série Brasilsat), EUTELSAT (Atlantic Bird 1) INTELSAT (IS-1R, IS-9 and IS-805), LORAL SKYNET (Telstar 12), HISPAMAR (Amazonas) and HISPASAT (Hispasat 1C/D).

The play-outs can be done at our teleport in Rio de Janeiro or using the EMBRATEL TV CENTERS. These stations are installed in all state capitals and are connected to our teleport in Rio by optical fibers. The connection permits the reception and transmission of programs from and to any TV station.

Videocom provides studio for live interviews, copyright free news material, videotape editing, tape copying services, format converters etc.

EVENTS
The events broadcasted by VIDEOCOM BRASIL are, in general, sport events, inaugurations, shows, conferences, auctions, award shows etc. They can be either produced by VIDEOCOM BRASIL or by other entities, in Brazil or abroad.
